After six months of competition, on September 27, Desafío XX reached its long-awaited finale, where Kevyn Rúa, captain of the Pibe team, faced Darlyn Giraldo of the Tino team in a test that defined the champion of the program.

Prior to the grand final, the captains of both teams, Faustino ‘El Tino’ Asprilla and Carlos ‘El Pibe’ Valderrama, visited the finalists to encourage and motivate them. In addition, Kevyn and Darlyn’s family and friends communicated via video call to provide emotional support on the day before the test.

The grand finale

First, for the final track, the participants had to free a triangle ladder from a tunnel, descend, run and overcome a maze, then lie down on a cart and take it to the second floor of the Black Box, where they rang a bell, allowing their partner to complete the same route, but with an additional challenge: using a stick to drop sandbags.

Once at the top, the task culminated with finding a key five metres high, which allowed them to access a trunk full of pieces to assemble a stick and obtain four balls. Finally, they had to fit each ball into a giant roulette wheel and run to the centre to press the button that would decide the champion.
