Indiana Fever rookie Caitlin Clark won the ESPY for Best College Athlete in Women’s Sports.
During the ESPY’s Red Carpet Show on Thursday, the WNBA’s rookie sensation secured her second ESPY after winning the same award in 2023.
Clark’s stellar college career at the University of Iowa lifted her over fellow nominees LSU gymnast Haleigh Bryant, Wisconsin volleyball ace Sarah Franklin, and Northwestern lacrosse star Izzy Scane.
The Fever guard’s run with the Hawkeyes may win her two more ESPY’s. Clark is nominated for Best Athlete in Women’s Sports alongside tennis star Coco Gauff, golf sensation Nelly Korda, and reigning WNBA Finals MVP A’ja Wilson of the Las Vegas Aces.
Furthermore, Clark is also nominated for the Best Record-Breaking Performance for breaking Pete Maravich’s NCAA all-time scoring record.

Clark’s college career was capped by breaking Pete Maravich’s all-time NCAA scoring record
In a game against Ohio State on March 3, Clark surpassed Pistol Pete’s 3,667 career points by reaching 3,685. The record stood for over 50 years until Clark’s 35-point performance against the Buckeyes.
In the NCAA Tournament, Clark avenged her 2023 championship game loss to Angel Reese by downing the LSU Tigers with a 40-point performance in the Elite 8. She then beat Paige Bueckers and a strong UConn team in the Final 4.
Unfortunately, Clark fell short of a fairytale ending in the NCAA after losing to a powerhouse South Carolina side in the title game.
